Nullentropy - Ronald Ossendrijver

Solution Architect and .NET Developer with a passion for delivering high value IT.

Entropy is a scientific concept that is most commonly associated with a state of disorder or uncertainty. Systems, including IT systems, tend to progress in the direction of increasing entropy when left unchecked. Nullentropy is a concept from the Dune Universe by the American author Frank Herbert. It is a place where entropy is kept in check. As an Architect and Developer, managing disorder and uncertainty in IT systems is one of my top priorities. Hence my company name: Nullentropy. Also, it is a tribute to Frank Herbert's Dune.

Interests

Music

I enjoy all kinds of music, but mostly music from the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. My favorite composers are Dmitri Shostakovich, Gustav Mahler and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Games

Another passion of mine is gaming, both computer games and board games. Currently, my top board games are Dune, of which I made a digital implementation (https://treachery.online) to be able to keep playing during COVID19, and Dune: Imperium. I also play several Role Playing Games: Dungeons & Dragons, Cyberpunk: Red and Dune: Adventures in the Imperium.

Movies, Series and Acting

I have a broad interest in Movies and Series. I love science fiction and fantasy. I'm really looking forward to Dune: Part Two. Also, I've played some roles as an actor (amateur level) in King Lear (Shakespeare), The Cherry Garden (Chechov) and Bruid in the Morgen (Hugo Claus).
